Today in class we reviewed Direct and Indirect Characterization and read/viewed Roald Dahl's poem "Little Red Riding Hood" (video). We also looked at how Dahl added irony to his poem.

1)  Study for your Literary Elements Quiz!!
2)  Read "The Lottery" (p 53)
3) Think about the setting of the story (specifically the first 2 paragraphs). What mood does it create?
You do not need to write anything; however you are to annotate the text. Look for details that either support the setting mood or contradict (go against) the setting mood?
